The body as home: facilitating function through embodied care
Using an integrative blend of occupational therapy, movement practices, Rossiter Stretching, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioral rehabilitation strategies, I help clients reduce pain, improve function, regulate the nervous system, and develop sustainable patterns that support long-term wellbeing.
Whether someone is navigating an acute injury, chronic disease, stress, burnout, life transitions, or a desire to feel more connected to themselves and their daily life, therapy becomes a collaborative process of creating greater freedom, capacity, and possibility.
Through movement, breath, awareness, and therapeutic habit change, clients are supported in cultivating not only symptom relief, but a deeper sense of embodiment, resilience, and connection to the occupations and relationships that give life meaning.
Embodiment in Occupational Therapy Practice
My approach is centered around the belief that healing often begins with creating space: space in the body for movement and ease, space in the mind for clarity and adaptability, and space in the heart for connection, resilience, and meaningful living.
